So we can’t be perfect ourself; we know we can’t. There’s no way for us to be, and yet He said for us to be. So, but what He did, He made appropriation for us, the Lord Jesus Christ and His righteousness. That’s where the perfection comes of ignoring our own holiness, of which we have none, and our own thoughts which ought not to be, but we rest solemnly upon the finished work of the Lord Jesus. A man never knows what it is to live a victorious life, until he’s completely overcome. Who? Himself? That’s the biggest enemy you got is yourself. That’s the reason you can’t rise up in faith, because you got intellectuals there.

My advice would be for you to stand at your post of duty just as loyal as you can to the cause of Christ, and back up your minister and everything that’s–that’s–that’s going on, and–for the cause of Christ. And do that, and God will bless you.

You’ve got to abstain from the things of the world, live clean, honorable, upright, and holy, then the Holy Spirit will dwell with you, and will work with you, and will perform miracles through you, and will heal you, give you joy, peace, and love, and long-suffering, goodness, gentleness, matienc–patience, and faith. If you will walk in God’s way, there’s plenty of Holy Spirit.
